Sustainable power generation for the Bundesrealgymnasium Ramsauerstraße in Linz

SOLID was selected as the best bidder in a detailed invitation to tender issued by the Federal real estate company (BIG), as the company's concept optimally met the technical and economic requirements for the construction of a photovoltaic system.

The Federal real estate company (BIG) set itself the goal of equipping the BRG Ramsauerstraße in Linz with a sustainable energy supply that would cover a high proportion of the school’s electricity requirements on the one hand and feed surplus energy into the grid on the other. SOLID was selected as the best bidder in a detailed tender process, as the company’s concept optimally met the technical and economic requirements.

The planned photovoltaic system on the roofs of the gymnasiums with an output of 170 kWp was tailored to BIG’s requirements and combines efficiency, cost benefits and sustainability, taking into account all of the customer’s wishes.

Shortly before completion, it is clear that the system will not only sustainably cover a large part of the school’s electricity requirements, but will also reduce operating costs and make an important contribution to decarbonization by saving 103 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
