Digicel Office Cooling

Sustainability for telecom operators

The first large scale solar thermal system in the Caribbean

Digicel is one of the leading Telcom providers in the Caribbean region and thus wanted state-of-the-art technology for its new office building in Kingston, Jamaica.

When building its new offices in Kingston, Jamaica, the telecommunications operator Digicel wanted to implement green technologies for supplying its building.

Besides a wind turbine and photovoltaics of other suppliers, solar thermal was implemented by SOLID at large scale on top of the roofs of the food court and of the ancillary building.

Now cooling contributes the major part of green energy to the building and helps Digicel saving significant electricity cost.
