ThermaFLEX – Heat supply of the future
SOLID Solar Energy Systems GmbH participated in the flagship project ThermaFLEX. The project dealt with increasing energy flexibility and resulting CO₂-emission reductions in the district heating sector.
With the “Innovative climate-neutral process heating and cooling in companies” funding programme, the Austrian federal government is providing an important impetus for the decarbonization of companies. The aim is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve Austria’s climate targets through climate-friendly energy supply solutions.
Priorities and eligible areas
The funding program is aimed at manufacturing and service-providing companies and supports them in developing and implementing climate-friendly energy generation and distribution systems. The focus is on applications with temperatures of up to 400 °C.
Funding is provided for innovative Austrian projects that aim to increase energy efficiency and replace fossil fuels with renewable alternatives.
Areas of application include a wide range of processes, including
Scope of the funding
The funding program provides up to 4.5 million euros per project and supports both the planning and implementation of pilot projects. The deadline for all applications to participate in the funding program is 28 February 2025.
