S.O.L.I.D. installed a large solar plant at the Hyatt Regency in Aruba
Hyatt hotels are a global hospitality company with a tradition of innovation. Hyatt has more than 300 branded hotels, resorts and residential properties around the world.
S.O.L.I.D. installed and commissioned a large scale solar thermal plant at the roof top of the Hyatt Regency in Aruba. The plant has a collector area of 500m². The flat plate collector area includes 5 blocks of 100m² each. The system operates with four 6,5m³ hot water storages.
The plant provides pure drinking water and guarantees convenient, efficient and sustainable water supply.
Aruba is a small island, belonging to South America and is part of the Small Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. The island is 25 km south of Venezuela. Tab water is generated by a large sea water purification system , solar radiation is abundantly available. The country offers huge potential for future solar thermal projects. Further co-operations are currently discussed.
